The Background

Following the passing of a relative, the client inherited a 33% share of a residential property. To retain full ownership, he needed to buy out the remaining beneficiaries. However, no liquid funds were available to facilitate the purchase.

The Solution

Ramsay & White arranged a short-term bridging facility that enabled the client to fund the full buy-out using leveraged finance. The loan was structured against the property’s open market value, allowing the client to acquire the remaining shares with no money down.
